KinoCritic regularly publishes new film reviews and essays on film-related topics (see Browse Other Posts). Every review opens with the key facts: director, writers, country, runtime and type of film.
KinoCritic’s Monthly Picks is our monthly contest. Filmmakers submit their films through FilmFreeway, and each month we publish reviews of the winning films. The first, pilot edition ran in October 2026.
KinoCritic’s Forum is our latest feature, allowing filmmakers and film enthusiasts to find each other and communicate easily, matching on topics of interest instead of social media algorithms. It is free of charge and brings back the opportunities of the old internet, where communication didn’t interfere with business or branding, but pure interest. Registered members can discuss films, reviews and festivals, share ideas and recommendations, and build a profile with points and badges.
KinoCritic’s Database lets you browse the films we cover and their crew and cast by department (directors, writers, cinematographers, composers and more), with links to the related articles. Anyone can suggest a missing film or person.
